SCC’s Grant Advisory Committee

Purpose

The GAC is dedicated to assisting the college in meeting the resource and funding needs of the institution through a comprehensive grant review process. The committee meets regularly to discuss grant opportunities and recommend policies and procedures in the review and submission of grants to the college and the college President. The college Grants Officer serves as the committee chair and the Dean of Instruction as Co-Chair.

GAC Goals

  • Review and evaluate institutional grant opportunities that are consistent with SCC’s
  • mission and help implement SCC’s Strategic Plan.
  • Establish institutional policies and procedures related to grants.
  • Make recommendations regarding institutional grants to the college and the President.
  • Coordinate with SCC faculty and staff on grant opportunities, proposals, submissions,
  • and implementation.
  • Facilitate a culture of grant writing through adequate and timely planning that meets
  • institutional goals and objectives.
  • Disperse accurate and timely information regarding grants to the SCC community.

GAC committee members consist of SCC faculty and staff for fiscal, departmental, and executive team college representation.
